KS One off rear window spoiler

I know that this type of spoiler, not everyone feels. I've always liked them and decided to design and fabricate one while attending WyoTech and get credit...see pics and let me know feedback! When done with school, I may to try to replicate it out of fiberglass. The two rotors on a rotating bearing....made for a handle to open mailbox we fabricate in class. WE ROTARDS GOT PROBLEMS!!!

I'm one of those guys who isn't a fan of rear window spoilers. That said, I think the shape you made is decent looking. I think I'd like it a little more if the extremely sharp corners on the wing part were rounded a little, and also if the wing part was a little closer to horizontal rather than angled so much.

I am planning on rounding the corners a bit.... and I plan on putting a LED brake light in the shallow part of it. More pics when done and painted.

thats cool. I usually like stock body rx7s without much. Roof spoilers , big wheels etc to me only look good when it has other body mods.

Looks like you could cut your finger on it if you run your hand across it.

How thick is that steel? It looks thin.

I'd beef it up so it doesn't flex at high speed. Nice work though, I like it.

The steel is 18 gauge, with all parts, 13, welded together....VERY STURDY! Its not complete yet...so right now....cut that sucker right off! Once prepped for paint, polished, will be nice and smooth! Going on my bro's FC..

I'm planning on making the spoiler and side sill pieces from my sketches as well.....If I reproduce these....it won't be expensive....the work is awesome and good experience. I'll be finishing the window spoiler in late March....stay tuned...

Downforce....?....didn't really take that into consideration. Made this more out of personal taste and an aesthetic piece. English class? Just out to make some cool stuff with what I learned. Apologize for any grammatical errors.
