one day car is great, the next day wtf
Help!
I just bought a 1987 converted se to turboII with swapped jspec s4 engine from another member. Wiring harness is a little fried, leaking oil, possibly from oil pan. I haven't really touched the engine since I bought it, except to replace leaking injectors. I just had compression test, compression is a 75 on both. I think the car was sitting around in a garage for about a year before I bought it.
I decided to take apart air filter, cleaned the outside of the afm, and removed the fittings of intercooler, and put everything back. Before doing this, the car ran great. Now the car runs like crap.
Sometimes, the car would buck. I made a right turn yesterday, and as I did, the revs went from 2500, down to 2000, and then shot up past 3000 in like 2 seconds, along with the bucking. I was also able to smell unburnt fuel. Then I drove about 100 feet, and in 3rd gear, the car is losing power. I downshift to 2nd, and still losing power, but then power comes back.
My question is, did I mess with something that should have been left alone. The car seemed to be fine before I touched it. I am searching, but finding numerous possible answers. Thanks guys.

hey what did you use to clean the outside of afm... ours really suck and are sensitive ... sounds like a vacuum leak and what are you doing asking questions on the board you should know better... talk to sunho and look over everything you messed with... good luck
