Which one is better? S4, or the S5

i have a somewhat problem i have an 1988 2+2 pretty modded, and im not sure if i should just stay with mine and keep on modding and tuning it, or trade it for a stock 1990 GTU. my ca has a medium street port, and tuned for drifting, which one would be better for drifting? the S4, or S5.

i just wondering cause i have the oppertunity i just want some other peoples opinions.

thanks

I have read somewhere that the S4 had a better LSD than the S5s,
also, I come across quite a few people using s4 "low compression rotors" in s5 motors....(in turbo cars)
I love the look of s5's, and they come stock with more power... and a nicer interior...(notably, the more durable center console)
and the higher redline (8k instead of 7K for the s4)...

I figure it depends on what you want to do with your car, but in terms of NA, Id go with s5.

s4's for: OMP!!!!

there are a lot of thread already on this if you search, but heres my take:

S5 looks better, but imo the S4 were the better made car, more reliable components, lighter weight, etc. with the S5, mazda looked to make production cheaper, so quality suffered. and dont let the lower power fool you, but from my experience the power difference is not that much at all. my n/a S4 would outrun my brothers SP'd S5 all day

You have to be kidding me. There is a lot more then just engine power to consider when you want to drift. Stock springs, struts, rims and tires are not going to cut it for actuall "drifting". Engine power does help so its up to you. Don't think engine power is all you need.

Both will work great if you spend LOTS of money and TIME to make it a "2F2F drift car"

I sure hope you are not going to be "drifting" on the streets.

i know theres alot more to drifting then just the vehicle im not a complete idiot. i was just wondering which one would be a better choice to dump all of that time a money into. the S4 and S5 have different limits they can reach i just want some other opinions because i have the chance to do it, to get a stock 1990 GTU. i don't care about power because i know my S4 will smoke it for ***** a giggles. im juts think about it, in the long run.

and to the street drifting part would a mountain road count?
