Once and for all, settling the debate about what stock boost is.

This is in the FSM for the '89 RX-7, those who have the other years of FSM can check their documents and post their findings here:

6.56 psi! There it is. Woohoo. But now that I realize my copy of the FSM is for an '89 I should find one for my car, an '87...

Are you sure yours is from an 89'?. It looks the 87-88 turbo FSM.

The first page posted is for an S4 (6.56psi boost), not an S5. The second page is the right one for an S5 (8.25psi boost). There's never been a "debate", only a lot of incorrect info posted and a few of us posting corrections. Like this...

Note that those number are peak boost, which occurs abound where peak torque is. It drops by ~1psi by redline.

The numbers are pretty irrelevant though because there's no such thing an FC in new condition.

My apologies, by other indicators like gauge layout and other things I noted that my FSM seems to be for an S4, but the lead page (added by the distributor) says it's for an '89. I trusted the wrong signals to my brain.

This leads me to ask though, why isn't the stock boost listed in the FAQ? This does come up quite a bit, that's why I made this thread.
