once again need a FC66-67-560A CPU for a 90 vert!

MA once again need a FC66-67-560A CPU for a 90 vert!


hope there are still ones out there! - i need one asap. but may buy a backup second one, as my 1990 ver only has 42K miles on it.

and mine does have an airbag - sorry atkins - i used your pix - only good one i could find and you dont have it anyway.

this is my 7th rx-7 - and this is not my first rodeo;)

Unfortunately, that CPU (FC66-67-560A) is NLA from either Mazda USA or Mazda JPN. Your options are to find either a used one or rebuild your unit. As these cars age, it's getting more difficult to find replacement parts. If you're handy with a soldering iron, than you can usually fix the electronics on your own. If you search this forum, there was a thread posted on rebuilding the FC66 CPU (https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...-fc66-1104494/). You never did mention what your problem was, but there are actually two PCB boards within that black plastic enclosure. One PCB is the horn/alarm board (FC66-67-564), which is NLA (https://www.atkinsrotary.com/89-92-R...66-67-564.html), and there is the flasher PCB (FB01-67-564), which is still available (https://www.atkinsrotary.com/86-92-R...01-67-564.html). There is a shop that sells rebuilt CPUs (https://www.autoecmstore.com/products/fc6667560b), but I have no knowledge as to how reputable they are. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info

its the high beams wont come on.. and the alarm doesn't stay on.. so i guess i need both boards which means the entire unit. yes i know its no longer available. great info on rebuilding , but i'm technical but thats a bit too much for me!

someone on the facebook rx-7 groups said that he bought two FC66-67-560A and neither of them fixed his high beam problem? so bad cpu? or other problem that he has? mentioned a slightly different part number that i know nothing about?

can u shed some light?

According to this site, looks like on the S5 vert the CPU also controls the high beams (https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...-worky-848214/). I own a '90 coupe and the CPU doesn't have anything to do with the headlights. Looks like there's been a history of CPU problems on the S5 vert. Since you've had similar issues before, than the CPU is most likely your problem.
