OMP rod rubbing against the pulsation dampener
I have been having some idle/fuel problems with my car (1987 n/a s4) so I was playing around with the throttle and noticed the OMP rod was rubbing against the Pulsation Dampener 
So I bent the wire hanger/nut that secures the alternator to the engine to keep it from rubbing. But then I noticed instead of the rod rubbing when the car is idling it rubs when the throttle is open. So how do I adjust the OMP rod so that it doesn't rub against the Pulsation Dampener at all? I've searched and looked in the archives and couldn't find the info. Thanks
