OMP line copper washers

The service manager at the local dealership made a small error and ordered the wrong copper washers for the OMP lines. If I can find the right size at Home Depot, would that be the same? Or is there a difference in the composition of the copper?

The dealer I went to for my washers, (for the oil cooler lines) came out with a big box of assorted washers. They got thiers from Car Quest.

Reuse what you have... take a piece of glass/a ceramic tile with thats flat glue some 400-600 wet and dry sandpaper and then use some wd and sand down each side until there are no grooves/seating mark and then reuse doent take that long and works great in a pinch!

The washers are intended to compress and seal, which all crush washers do. Just make sure the inner and outer diameters match as closely as possible so that the replacement washers don't overlap the machined/non machined portion of the mating surface.

It's metric.
Good luck finding them at Home Depot.

What you can do is *resuse* the old ones.
The copper can be annealed back to "normal", and this softens them back to the point they will reseal.
Torch the old washer until they change color - it'll be obvious with copper.
Wait till they cool off and reinstall!

Good to know, but I'm not sure I'll be able to find all the old ones...they're scattered all over the garage floor I'll check HD....I am in Canada afterall, and HD does have a decent (but not stellar) selection of metric fasteners and such.
