Omg Where Did My Clutch Go?!?!?

So I'm taking my car for it's first drive on the road, not insured and I don't have my full license either, and I only planned on taking it about a quarter way down my street. Before I took it out I noticed that the clutch has been only popping halfway back up and this kind of bothered me and I wanted to find out if it was doing this while I was driving. So I get 2 or 3 houses down, I live in one of those "middle of nowhere" towns you must understand, and I decide this is about time for me to pull into a driveway and turn around and head home, mostly because two houses down are the "cop callers" on my street, they have called about my friends Jeep going "too fast" when he was going 50 down a 50 street, KM/H BTW, but he happens to have a glass pack so his Jeep is particularly loud... anyways he was giving me a ride home and he spent about 20 mins to a half hour at my place proceded to go home and the cops were down the street... he says he quickly turned off the road and poped his hood. The cop put in the sirens and the lights rolled up to him and gave him the 3rd degree but obviously they couldn't actually charge him because they had no proof he had done anything wrong... oh and with the same friend in an Alfa Romeo convertable we had one of the people that live at this house, actually it's a trailer, run out after us with a pen and paper trying to get our license... needless to say these people are dicks.. oh and then there was when they called up on my lil bros for riding there motor bikes down the side of the road to get to a trail at the other end.... god im ranting.. needless to say these people are ******... god I got way off on a tangent.. uhhh so yeah I pulled into this driveway, and I put the clutch in and put it into reverse and then I went to let go of the clutch and it didn't go anywhere... it stayed on the floor.. at this point I'm thinking "I'm fucked!" cause this is the first time I drove the car and maby the clutch was totally screwed and I was just finding this out now. I rolled into about the middle of the road and then turned her off and pushed her to the side of the road... just then one of my lil bros was cruising down the side of the road wit his motorbike and I asked him to go get some parental units... 20 mins later im still waiting, it is a 2 min walk to my house from this place but only because I have an uphill driveway. So I decide to try something out so I push the clutch all the way in, it was stuck there anyways, put her in gear and turned her over afew times and gave some gas. This worked and I was cruising back up the road to my house. Now I pull up and I put her in the parking lot and I'm thinking at this moment "I'am so fucked I wonder what this is gonna cost me" when my uncle strolls up and says "So whats wrong?" and I say "Well my clutch has 110% play in it.. stays down and can be lifted back up easily too though" I pop the hood and he says "Oh well check your hydrolic fluid for your clutch" I do this, not even knowing that the clutch was hydrolic, and find that it is WELL below the max line, I'd say damn near empty. My uncle then mentions that I could just put brake fluid in there, I was skeptical but he assured me it was basically the same thing and I listened. I put in the brake fluid, pumped it and he said that he could see air bubbles comming out, which I guessed was good, until the clutch would pop all the way back up to the top. So I go and test it down the road and the difference in shifting is like night and day, even though I only got it into second gear I could tell. So anyways that my little story about my missing clutch, and how I retreived it. Hope someone found it interesting/entertaining/funny/incitefull/etc.
Oh and I apologise for spelling mistakes and my run on sentenses and my bad grammar... this just happened to me and I wrote it up really quick while it's all fresh in my mind.

you still should bleed the clutch. if you look there is a nipple near the bottom of the clutch line. stick some hose on there into a pop bottle or something. and a wench. pump the pedal. then push the pedal down while you open the nipple. and close it before you let off the pedal (need 2 people) repeat a few times. make sure the bottle stays full while doing it. it'll pump the rest of the air outa the nipple. and yes you use brake fluid.

keep an eye on the level once you are done. if it keeps going down you have a leak and should be fixed.
