SO I start up my 91 NA and it starts. Im like WTF so I immediately shut it down and check oil. Full, as I knew it would be. Start again, same thing. Anyway it wont go off. I have always meticulously maintained my rex.

Is there anything else that would make it stay on? A short maybe? How the h311 do I turn it off?

-97k miles with 4k on rebuild
-excellent pressure

well this may sound stupid but r sure its not goin off cause you r coolent is low?? also your sensor may have gone bad or the plug may have come dissconected.....

Yeah, I've never had the buzzer go off for anything BUT coolant, check you overflow tank, it's more than likely empty and your rad is down a bit also.

ok thx guys I'll check it out. So the low oil buzzer AND the coolant buzzer are connected to coolant?

There is one warning buzzer, and it is connected to the oil and coolant levels. You must have to get the oil damn low for the buzzer to go off, because mine was almost 2 quarts low once and it never went off.
If the coolant level is fine, one of the sensors could be bad. Did you get any warning light on the idiot light cluster?

yeah you have to be about 3 qts low. (major oil leak)

As I previously stated, I dont have low oil. It never -EVER - gets below the half mark on my stick And to answer the other question, no other idiot lights went off. I'll check coolant a little bit later on my break

there is a sensor in your oil pan, follow the wire up from the pan and check it for pinching or grounding out on the engine mount, a/c compressor bracket or on the chassis anywhere. the only reasons the oil level buzzer/light will come on for is if the engine is over 2.5quarts low on oil or if that wire is grounding out somehow, as you said the oil level is fine so that only leaves one possibility.

I cant find the damn wire lol it is driving me up the wall...

I know it must be shorted or not connected somewhere but I cant seem to find it...any help plz

isnt the oil buzzer is a lot higher pitched than the coolant buzzer? mine went off a few days ago, but it was really high pitched, the oil was a little below the low mark, added 1/2 qt, and it stopped.

It seems to be the same buzzer that goes off when you redline. But again, for those that dont seem to read the whole thread,
-oil has never dropped below half...ever...and is currently at full
-coolant level was at about half, but topped it off

And still it doesnt stop. If I knew where the damn wire was I could find where it is grounding...looking in manuals now.
