Question OMG another idling thread...but this time...i have a reason...(maybe)

so i was taking off my intercooler to clean it/polish it and decided to check my turbo for shaft play. (there was none ) now i have an s4 turboII and if uve ever seen my threads...i have idle problems. but! they were gone when i disconnected the afm, removed all turbo intake piping, intercooler pipe going into tB was off, and air pump pipe/vacuum was off. my idle...was steady. for once. it actually held idle. and not as rough either. very little movement. until i press the gas, then car dies...(obvious reasons) now i had suspected that my turbo intake pipe being cracked would be the reason as to why the idle is soo bad....so i secured the crack (the previous owner used electric tape ) i put everything back...tightened all clamps... annnnnnnnnnd now its back to the beginning: rough idle when warm..dies when car is cold....so whats the deal??? can someone lead me in the right direction? thanks again in advance.

i had a similar problem, minus the car running with everything unplugged... turns out my LIM o ring was sheared and sucked into the coolant passage, letting coolant warp my gasket allowing coolant into the intake path. this created crazy idle problems due to coolant in the combustion chamber plus the vac leak from the effed up gasket. I couldn't figrue it out after i had replaced all the vac lines, gaskets and clamps (except that gasket). Pull your uim and check for coolant on the block by the primary rail where the LIM meets block (assuming you have checked tps, vac leaks etc).

hmm...maybe im not understanding too well...but what does the coolant passage have to do with the idle? because..ti was "fixed" when the air pump was not connected.
