Unhappy OMFG!!! Please help me...i think my car is bout to die!!!

Today when i started my car...i realized my MP3 player broke cuz 2 of the wires snapped. Then when i started driving, i realized my idle was realli low (500-100....goty lower and lower) then my freind pointed out that my batery gauge was dropping (now it dropped to 9 Volts) and my Oil pressure dropped to 30....I dunno whats wrong, and all my idiots lights are on (except for e-brake and engine check) and then all my lights in my car (inside and head lights) went off!!!
And at that time my idle was near 0 and was bout to die out anytime.....****!!!
Is it just the batery or the MP3 player wire that broke thats causing this??

Can someone please tell me wats wrong?

I'm very worried right now.

Thanks everyone

Alternator? I don't know for sure, but that's what I would check first.

Alternator and/or alt belts. Battery is probably dead now also. All the idiot lights came on when the car was still idling? If your engine stalls it's normal for all the lights to come on.

Where are these wires you're talking about? Behind the dash?

Could they have shorted and maybe killed the alternator?

i think we have a winner. chances are you shorted something out while messing with those wires.

If it were a short in the radio wiring, it'd of blown a fuse, not killed the car.

It's the alt, all of the lights on means the alternator isn't generating, it's the alts way of saying OHMYSHITI'MBROKE!

Replace/check the alt.

Not terribly likely, as was stated above, you would have blown a fuse if you shorted something.

Sounds like the altenater to me too. What it sounds like is your alt. went bad and you drove on the battery till it ran down. I havent seen a bad battery cause a car to quite cuz once its running its going off the alt. So my money is on the alt. before you go any further though check the mp3 wiring out. If youve got a ton of miles on your car then id expect the alt. to need to be replaced anyways.
