That ole' hesitation problem

Hey guys. So im on my way home tonight, I redline it coming out of a turn, everythings fine. About 10 minutes later, i start off from a redlignt, as soon as it hits that "area" between 3500-4000 rpms, my car suddenly started surging up and down VIOLENTLY. the RPM's kept climbing but the car wouldnt stop bucking and surging.

I'm guessing this to be the 3800 rpm hesitation with the 5th/6th ports that everyone has talked about.

For reference, my car is an S4 GXL.

Anyone have any idea what this is? I'm pretty sure the ports arent opening thats causing it, but man, the car was bucking and surging VIOLENTLY.

any fixes?

I think I may have the same problem, around 3-4k rpm. I too drive an S4 GXL.
