Okay serious now, WTF is going on with my Boost?
Some have you may have been following my never-ending AE saga, for those of you that haven’t here is a recap;
I went and spent 3 Hrs on a dyna-pack dyno a couple of weekends ago, I got really solid numbers but I only started making good HP at really high RPM’s … because I was only making boost at really high RPM’s. Look at this chart, 3 PSI at 5k?, 2 PSI at 4.5k? and the other thing is with all my Mods (look below) I could NOT exceed 9.51 PSI … that was after cranking my boost controller higher and higher each run and it would not go up any more. That’s problem 1.
Now, the other thing is; I have NO low end power at all .. low end being under 5k. I bog pretty bad off the line and it will almost seem to stall on me if I floor it and drop the clutch at low RPM’s … If I am cruising at say 3.5k and gun the gas, it just bogs .. then finally starts to slowly go, then once I hit about 6k RPM’s it takes off like a F-in Jet off of a air craft carrier. But then I have to shift! I was looking at my S-AFC settings and I decided my high RPM hesitation I was getting must have been from being set to rich (even though I set it from a wide band on the dyno) I lowered the settings a bit today and lost allot of the hesitation I was getting when the secondaries kicked in, I think I was dumping way to much fuel. I have replaced every IC hose twice … all the clamps, triple checked every vacuum line .. looked at my wastedgate, it is not stuck .. I have tried everything I can think of to try to solve this; Now I once again ask for your guys help. Save me from burning my 10AE to the ground from frustration.

I know too much fuel would easily cause the bogging .. but will it affect the RPM at which my boost really starts to kick in? I need to fix one problem at a time .. unless they are related.
and what about my Max boost being so low?

Robert,
Boost is dependant on load and the power the engine creates without forced induction...
so if the load is little and your engine can't make that much power, your turbos will not spool up.
does that makes sense? i hope i do... i retyped this message 5 times now.

what was your air / fuel mix like down low? that boost really is screwy... i'm at peak before 3k rpm...
I wonder if some variety of sensor is dead and running full rich, or some such phenomenon... do you get any black smoke?

Cheers; I hear what your saying about load ... but I am flooring the car that should create load ... I mean i have run just the same types of runs up a freeway onramp ... with the same effect. I mean it starts to MOVE .... just way late, when it pulls really hard its time to shift already.
does that make sense? know what I mean?
