okay guys hopefully last thing i need
Alright, I know i only post on here about what is wrong with my fc now...
but hey it's an rx7, you have to appriciate that right?
it's an '86 n/a
so it's still smoking quite a bit. from the exaust...
it's definitely oil. 100% positive it is. it smoke when i rev it up not in gear, and it smokes in gear.
but, only when driving at high rpm. it barrels out alot of smoke in first gear after 4k rpm, and then second gear not as badly but still bad, then 3rd still bad, and 4th not too badly... and 5th, doesn't smoke at all unless i'm at red line...
so, what could this be?
seems to lessen in different gears, i have done 3 full oil changes, using 10w30 and 10w40 and 5w30..
smokes with all of them.
what could be an easy fix? and what could be the, awe... damn i gotta rebuild fix...
thank you guys for you time. I appreciate your imput!

You can buy a master rebuild kit(899.00) from atkins rotary that comes with all the gaskets needed.
Overhaul Gasket Kit
Apex Seals
Apex Seal Springs
Solid Corner Seals
Corner Seal Plugs
93-95 Corner Seal Springs
Side Seals
Side Seal Springs
Oil O Rings (Inserts)
Oil Conrol Rings (Metal)
Oil Ring Springs
Front Main Seal
Rear Main Seal
Pilot Bearing & Seal
Thermal Pellet (86+)
Rotor & Main Bearings
Hylomar Sealant
Oil Pump Chain
Thrust Bearings
Oil Filter
If you find after pulling it apart that some of these parts are not necessary they have a total of 5 rebuild kits or you could buy each part separately. They also have for 25.00 a comprehensive rebuild DVD that certainly helps if you have not torn into a rotary before.
Another option is to send your engine off to one of the many rebuilders here on the forum. I believe that Kevin Landers at Rotary Resurrection in Tennessee is the least expensive ( I could be wrong) and does great work( I know for a fact).
On the topic of a TII swap. It is not as hard as you might believe but I understand not wanting to tackle the entire drive train. You could always put in a TII engine and leave the drivetrain. Aaroncake ran a 6 port turbo motor with an NA drivetrain for quite awhile before it cratered. But I did the complete swap so that I would not have to worry about if or more likely when the NA transmission was going to let go.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I am sure with whatever you decide that many people here will offer help.
