hopefully you are having a change of heart. 7 weeks after i got my seven i had to change the started, was having tps problems, and finally blew my motor. I can relate to the funding issue, but she's been sitting for about three months and i'm finally pulling the motor tonight. should be running again in about three weeks. Then i can move on to the next set of problems; bushings and tranny Anyway, you did exactly the right thing venting on the forum with tons of people who share your same frustrations. GOOD LUCK MAN!

Throttle cable: $48 from dealer. ETA: 1 week. Probably the last week before snow, and I won't get to drive my car

Just glad you didn't have a fire in your door that you couldn't take pictures of. Stick with it. When I was buying my car I'd tell people "I'm buying a money pit here soon" "a what?" "an rx7"

****, I have had my rx-7 for over a year and havent even put 1 mile on it and I have spent over 7 grand on it not including the car itself and it hasnt started once!
but I still love the car and will be paitent enough to wait when the time is right.

Granted I bought a 88 se and fully gutted it to a bare shell, sold the parts
bought a j-spec rebuild, full drivetrain swap, standalone, fully adjustable suspension, racing seats, cage, etc.

So just understand it takes time but it will be worth it. Esspecially when I am at the track with a car I invested a total of 10 grand into and I am passing C6 Z06 vettes on the straights and the turns!
