ok people, search gave me bad info, and cost me 20$

Ok, so last night i search for info on the FPD / Banjo bolt fix. I must have read 2 dozen post trying to figure out where or which banjo bolt. Then i found a post where someone said....."Use the same banjo bolt on the primary fuel rail" Excited as virgin, bout' to get laid.....i run to every salvage yard in a 50 mile radius, finally found one with 2 FC's and get really excited......i spend an hour...in the fuc|<ing rain removing what i need to get to the banjo bolt and VoiLA!!! Victory at last...

Well after driving my happy *** home..ITS THE WRONG ******* ONE. This P.O.S. cost me 20$ and it isn't even right, by any means! I guess i should have test fitted my own, but i thought i had found good info.....HA!

All this said, i have to drive this thing to work tomorrow, is there anywhere i can pick up one of these damn banjo bolts? What size, etc.. do i need? Thanks guys

THOSE WHO ARE MAKING ASSUMPTIONS.....F&&& OFF!!

Assumptions on which bolt it is.

Apparently the person that posted in the thread i found in searching was wrong. That is why i said "no assumptions" I sound like an *******, but i was just frustrated after spending all the time ad finding out i had the wrong banjo bolt!

Take the fuel rail off and bring it down toa Ace Hardware or someone and have them ID the bolt pattern and size. If they have the Banjo in stock it'll probably cost you like 2 dollars.

Hmm Another compelling reason to join MAZDACOMp. 2 autocrosses a year is all they require. Guess what a NEW S4 PD is a mere 84.00.

Now you dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure 84.00 is cheap-*** insurance against burning your car to the ground.

Do it right or do the car a favor and sell it to somene who will maintain it right. Go get yourself a saturn or a Honduh

I got the banjo bolt from Summit. It is an Earl's part.

If you pulled the banjo bolt off a non-turbo primary fuel rail (did you get the primary fuel rail off an NA with both ends?), this is what fits on the turbo PD side.

It's Earl's part number 997591, a 12x1.25mm banjo bolt. I think I got mine from summit for about $8. It's just sitting on my desk waiting to go in.

I can also confirm that the 86-88 NONTURBO PRIMARY (LOWER) fuel rail has the banjo bolt that fits any 84-88 rail with the FPD in place. I do this swap every week for someone's engine...
