You gonna put a t2 tranny in it? if so you'll need the driveshaft, rear end, half shafts. If you want a tranny that will be reliable even when your kicking on it, swap in a t2 tranny. you won't regret it. whats nice about just swapping the tranny is that there isn't any rewiring or anything necessary, you just swap it. Hrm... but while the rear end is out you should replace the suspension bushing. Get a polyurethane bushing kit and do a complete swap. Also would be a good time to rewire your fuel pump, just for reliabilty. the wiring for the fuel pump is junk and over time it won't get the full 12vdc back to the pump.

Windshield wiper switch. I,ve had to replace my CPU for my turn signals twice.First one was from my parts car.second one was my original one I repaired.Had a bad solder joint. Been through acouple junkyard driveshafts. The warning light cluster/clock gets flaky due to bad solder joints.

ALL electrical in your car will have bad solder joints. pretty much you can get a solder gun and just reheat the solder to get a good connection again. everything in the car pretty much needs to have that done. Actually, I know what I'm doing to my car tomorrow, Solder Joints! Woo! EXTREME!

I would start replacing suspension bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints, chk/repack wheel bearings, halfshaft boots, etc.... Inspect/replace.

Okie, you replaced the engine and tranny already?

Well, do you have a s4 LSD? Rebuild that.

How are your suspension bushings? Replace them with polyurthane ones. Replace your Diff, tranny, engine mounts with something stiffer.

Rebuild all your brake calipers.
