I got mine out and its stuck in the cold position. I noticed in the shim procedure there is a working oil thermo pellet being used. Do i need a new pellet to do this? Or will doing this not only fix my low oil pressure but make it constant regardless of cold/hot temps?
Doing the shim procedure does not matter if the original oil thermo pellet works or not.  If you got a new one, why do you need to mess with it?  After it's shimmed, oil will be flowing throughout the engine full-time.
