oil smells like gas, and cant idle..
This car wont idle at all...it revs to 3500 and dies unless i keep my foot on the gas...I decided to change the oil, but when i opened the oil filler hole, i could smell gas fumes...What is this.. Someone suggested oil seals, if this is it, how can i change them? And how can i stop the car from dying? Thanks

the oil smelling like gas indicated that it has flooded.
isnt this the car that has sat for 2yrs or something?
didnt you say you just changed the oil in it?
many of the cars have flooding problems and it if really from leaky injectors, but may also indicate bad compression(oil seals)
a complete rebuild is needed if that is the case.
get a COMPRESSION TEST done! that should be the first step to take so that you proceed from there.

I'm having a problem just like this. I let my car sit for a few months. I started it up every week or two. It ran fine. I brought it out last week to drive for a few days to make sure everything was cool. One morning I went outside to start it up and it revved to 4500. I shut it off. I tried again, same thing. I tried a third time(like a dumbass) and I flooded it. I haven't been able to get it started since. We checked the oil today and it smells like gas. What should I do? ANY input would be helpful.

If your car won't idle unless you keep your foot on the gas, you might have an intake leak. Check all your vaccuum lines, and listen for air leaks around the manifolds. You might need to take all the manifolds off the replace the gaskets as well.

Slight gas fumes in the oil is normal for a rotary.
If you've been flooding the engine a lot or if the engine runs excessively rich (for some odd reason), then you're going to get a lot of gas in the oil.
I'd recommend inspecting the spark plugs and changin them (and the spark plugs wires) if they look old and worn.
