Like Satch said "Yes".

It does NOT connect to the harness with fuel injectors etc. So it can't be found on that one. See wiring diagrams.

I was under the impression that there are two main harnesses in the engine bay:

1.) The emissions harness (Which I assume the OP is talking about.) that has the injectors, the CAS, the coolant temp sensor, the TPS, the MAP... Goes in through the passenger's side (Of LHD cars) firewall and connects to the ECU with two connectors.

So called because the only non-engine related function on that harness is the windshield wiper motor. Everything else is related to fuel control of the engine.

2,) The Power harness that contains all the wiring for the starter, coils, headlights, oil level and pressure sensors, and enters the car through the driver's side (Or LHD cars) firewall and has multiple connectors under the dash.

So called because the only engine related function on this harness is the coils. Everything else is related to accessories on the car not necessary for driving.

Assuming this, the answer would be no.

There's three harness in the engine bay.

The EM harness that connects to fuel injectors/boost sensor, water temp switch, BAC, afm, wipper motor etc

There's the FRONT harness that comes out of the interior and runs up the left side of the engine bay.......then across over to the right hand side near the headlight. Has usless connectors for the headlights/retractors side light connectors and that gaggle of fuses on the left side of the radiator, washer motor plug etc.

Then there's the ENGINE harness that has the battery cables, starter wiring, engine bay fuse box, oil pressure sender connector, oil level connector , alternator on Turbo cars, neuter switch connectors, fifth gear switch connectors and general stuff like that.

The series four wiring diagrams have what is what in harnesses on pages 50-113 and on.

Series five varies a bit and non turbo cars vs turbo cars vary a touch or two.

These harness have other names when dealing with other cars........but we're working on a RX-7 the last time I looked.

Ah, I never referred to them by those names. I just referred to them as "the harness"... I also don't think I ever separated the engine and front harnesses when gutting a car.

In this case, then I guess it is in the engine harness.
