Was driving todayand the oil pressure dropped to zero buzzer came on then i saw the hood smoking like fkn crazy pulled over pop-ed the hood and there was ******* oil everywhere is it a blow engine or somthing easily fixed? recently got my oil changed at vip this has never happened before please help i dont want to lose my baby ='''(

maybe they didn't tighten the oil filter down tight enough? if you just got it changed, it might be something stupid like that

I was thinking that and was going to be pissed if it was that cause i blew 160 for the tow home >3 but as far as i can tell the oil filter is tight and on just to provide a little more information there is no oil in the car now period! when this happened all the oil spewed all over the place and i think thats why the buzzer is on? i checked the dip stick after waiting for 3hours and theres nothing in it oil change was last week.

Aren't the oil cooler lines located at the very bottom of the engine bay?

yes and they will cause exactly this scenario. remove the battery and tray and actually look/feel them. FC cooler lines are junk and very pricey for OEM ones, switch to stainless braided if they are faulty.

so your saying i need to get braided oil cooling lines which are like what 255 @ a parts store? are they easy to replace yourself? and a oil pressure sensor? and fyi i have been doing the research but if it werent for you guys i wouldnt have know where to start ='') so thanks everyone. are there any videos of someone changing this out? also when i do change them out if this is indeed the problem is there a certain process?

I wouldn't buy some until you confirm that's what's wrong though, I would fill it up with oil again, pull the EFI fuses and have someone crank it (with some glasses on ) and see where the oil is coming from...

Have you checked the engine bay to actually SEE what is going on?
Clean the engine bay up as best as you can,drop 2 quarts in and LOOK for a leak.It's simple.
You will find it,Trust me.

Find the issue before purchasing anything.

I would change your own oil from now on. I have known 3 people who have had their engines blown from Jiffy Lube oil changes. They seem to forget to tighten the oil drain plug.

+2, i'm not a fan of the mazdatrix cooler lines though, they don't even last as long as OEM do and cost nearly as much. corksport are cheaper and fitment isn't great but are actually better IMO. whenever you hear the buzzer in addition to a low oil or coolant light you should immediately shut the engine off, you will damage the engine if you keep running it.

well i did just like you said put two quarts in turned it on and oil was going everywhere

after that i got under the car and checked the oil cooling lines they are fine and are not leaking it seems that the leak is coming from the front seal of the engine therefore spraying all over the engine belts and fan. so front seal replacment?

also the oil cooler lines are braided but not steel and look fine and not leaking

put a few more quarts in it, remove the EGI fuse inside the engine bay and crank it over while having someone check for leaks. it is MUCH easier to find leaks without the engine spinning up and spraying the oil all over creation.

doubt it is the front main seal. there is no direct line oil pressure even remotely near that seal. blowby maybe, but it would be a rather minor leak. could be the engine front main hub bolt came loose, that would be my next assumption if it is coming from near the front of the engine and the oil lines are ok.

couldnt find the egi fuse where is it located and im hoping its not the front main seal cause i called a mechanic and they said 240 to replace that including 1 hour clean up.
also is that ok to do? to take that fuse out and run the car whith no belts or fan running? idk im confused

The EGI fuses are in the engine fuse box (that Black plastic module with a cover on it located near the leading coil, which is located behind the driver headlight). You could pull either one. The car does not start if either are pulled. You're just trying to turn the engine over in this process so you can observe where the leak is, thus the engine "does no start," but it turns over.

ooo nvm i see i found the egi fuse derp belts and fan cant run without it so what do you mean just have somone continuously try to start it and look for leaks =cranking? so i add 2 quarts then have someone try to start it over and over again til i find the leak?
