oil pressure dosent work

oil pressure dosent work

i changed my fuel filter on my 88 rx7 and now the speedometer and oil pressure meter do not work anymore i called this mazda place and they said there is wire for the sensor for the oil pressure around the fuel filter but where is it i can't see it and the hanes maunal says nothing about it please help

Its will be a dangling wire somewhere in the vicinity of BELOW the oil filter pedestal. It connects to a saucer looking thing with a button on the end, by the oil filter pedestal area.

As J-Rat said, a yellow/orange spotted wire with a rectangular prong. Slide It back on the Oil Pressure Sender Unit and you'll be fine. But first, wipe It good than slide It In.

You can see the oil pressure sender here. The wire won't be too far away.



Clean everything well before replacing it. I recently had a very-low-oil-pressure fright that turned out to be a sender and connector caked in oil and dirt.
