oil pressure decreases after good@start
86 rx7 gxl
-- 65 psi@ start, then reduces over 5 mins to 15psi@idle 30-35psi@2500 rpm freeway.
-- air in mechanical gauge line
OVERHEATED b4 psi loss
"may be thermal pellet"- previous thread,,,,, if so,,
where is thermal pellet,
is it on back engine housing inside oil pan?,, is it the "Oil Pressure Regulator Valve??
** I have Oil Pressure control valve (spring/plunger in timing cover)/Gasket

It's probably the thermal pellet. It is located in the front of the eccentric shaft, behind a 19MM bolt. Not particularily complicated to change, but there is a "gotcha" that could destroy your engine if you don't pay attention to it. Mazdatrix has a FAQ on it on their website.
Instead of replacing with a stock thermal pellet, get one of the solid replacements available from http://www.fc3s.org to prevent the problem from reoccurring in the future.
