oil metering pump...is that my problem?

do you guys think the problem with my T2 could be the oil metering pump??? i called my rotary mechanic today and he said that when that goes bad, it could also cause violent bucking and hesitation. anyone have any experiences like that? i know the new ones from a dealer are expensive...but a used one shouldn't be too steep...thanks

If the metering pump tells the ECU somethings wrong, the car will barely run. Its more likely youve got a big vacuum leak or your tps is out. Check your codes.
