AZ oil metering pump cleaning

i was wonder what i could use as far as cleaning my oil pump. i currently have it off so id like to get it clean and give it a thorough inspection before installing it. was just gonna get most off with dish soap or just take it to work and clean in the parts washer

i completely disassembled mine while i was doing a motor swap. i used superclean degreaser to clean it all, then went out and bought new orings to replace all the old ones in it. i also rebuilt the lines following the guide in the archives here. i've had no leaks or problems with it since.

oh yeah, if you are going to take it apart to clean it then take lots of pictures along the way, it's easy to reassemble it wrong and have to tear it down again.
