Oil Metering Pump blockoff plate
Oil Metering Pump blockoff plate
I have 87 rx7 non turbo. I thinking about buying a blockoff plate set. I wanted to know if i take off the oil metering pump will i have to run oil in the gas. Is there anything I should worry about useing block off plates.
Yes, with the metering pump removed you will have to run pre-mix. Luckily yours is a series 4, so you don't have to worry about the ECU freaking out. The only thing you should worry about it is getting a good seal with the plate. Use some type of liquid gasket when you put the plate on to insure against oil leaks. With the metering pump off you should use 1 oz. of Two-Stroke motor oil, rated TCW3 or better to 1 gallon of gasoline. Enjoy!
will i feel any diffence with profromance with the mix gas. do you know anything about the other blockoff plates. do i need to do anything different to the car. im also trying to take off the rat nest all the vacumn lines. does anyone know about that to.
I didnt feel any performance difference when running premix... It isnt a performance thing, just a "preventative maintenance" thing...
As for removing the rats nest and everything, just go into the archives and search for emissions removal...
