Oil level light blinks under hard cornering?

My RX7's oil level light and buzzer have gone off a few times under hard cornering. Usually a series of tight turns will do it, like a slalom. Last autocross it went off for a second (?) and I checked the oil level and it was full and clean. Just checking if this is common? I do have a leak in my oil cooler >block oil line where it leaks a quart around every 1700 miles...

thanks in advance

it happends to mine too while doing a fast/ hard drift. it when your oil in your oil pan slashes to one side where the meter doesnt pick it up or it thinks it low. just get a beveled oil pan. that is what i am looking for.

i think he means get a Baffled pan or baffle. its basically a plate that puts a cap on the oilpan to stop the oil from sloshing to one side because its enclosed

yeah, I get this same problem with my 87 luxury, and I just assumed it was from all the oil moving to one side as well. Shouldn't really be a problem unless the light and buzzer are constant...

You're not the only one. It's just the sensor and there's nothing to worry about. If you watch your gauge you'll see when the sensor goes off there is no drop in oil pressure.
Here's a run where it goes off twice

Make sure the oil is full... Unlike a piston engine you don't loose power if the oil is to the top line of the dip stick
