Hey whats up seven club!! Im having a minor oil leak that is really annoying! The oil seems to come from the top of the engine around the UIM. the car is an s4 na, I havent really seen where it is coming from, but it is a minor drip that falls on the exhaust manifold, resulting in smoke that some how makes its way into my cabin while I am driving. my a/c has been removed so I plugged up the two holes in the firewall with rubber plugs. I also added hood spacers to let the engine breathe better. IMO that I like the way the hood spacers make the car look. anyways even with the hood spacers and plugging up the 2 holes in the firewall smoke still makes its way into my cabin. hopefully sum1 has had this type of issue. my only hypothesis is the oil injection lines. the car has a rebuild with about 70k on it, chassis has 150k. the oil leak isnt anything serious just a few drops everytime I park it. nonetheless I need to fix it.

if it is oil injection lines get that fixed asap, mix two stroke if you need to drive, dont want to let the rotors go unlubricated.

hey thanks for the help !! Does any one of the rx7 guru's know of anything that might leak oil onto my exhaust manifold while the engine is running and leaves a few drops on the floor afterwards?? would really appreciate some input. currently Im driving my geo prizm until I can narrow down this leak. Im scared that it might be an oil injection line and that I have been driving it daily for like two weeks. would my engine be toast by now?? or am I just really damaging my apex seals. I feel like such a jerk to have drivin my car like that. Im not sure that it is my oil injection lines. but if it is and I have been driving my car is the damage serious. last time I drove it the engine was fine and pulled hard. the only thing I notice is that when I start it I have to blip the gas to make sure the engine doesnt turn off, but most times the engine will fire up without bliping the gas, I just do it to ensure a good startup. this has been since I bought the car. also the guy I bought it from told me to premix if I planned on pushing the car. I asked if the omp was still installed and working and he said yes. I looked and it is clean with all lines there. havent checked the oil injectors yet. I assumed he was just fond of premixing. but now that I think of it I have cured most probable oil leaks by resealing the pan with a mazda oem gasket and plenty of gasket maker. also replaced oil cooler and cooler lines with stainless steel braided lines. new crush rings all around. still havent sone filter pedestal but it doesnt look like its leaking. keep in mind that this is a rebuild with about 70-80k.
