Oil Leak help, leaking from iron.

Alright well I got my new engine running on my rx-2.. its a S5 T2 engine.. Thats why I'm posting it here.

Alright well engine was driving fine for first 50 or so miles.. then started to leak a bit oil from the oil pan.. fix that.. then it started leaking a bit of oil again.. first only a few drops per drive.. but now it starting to drip a good 5 drops a min of idleing, so becided I would get to the bottom of the oil leak today.. Well this is was I discovred. It seems to be leaking from the iron about 1/3 inch under the oil passage. There ie no oil around the passage or from the oil pedestal. I cleaned up the engine with some soap water and started her up.. this is what I found.

Any help would be greatly apreciated. Engine only has about 15k on the rebuild and didn't leak from there before the swap.

Don't really have the funds to over hual it.. and it pulls hard as hell as it is. Doesn't smoke, starts right up, good oil pressure, 45-60psi at idle 80-90psi while driving.

So any ideas as what I could do to remedy this with pulling the motor?

thinking of just packing the thing with silcon see if that helps but.. don't want to do it half ***.. want to fix it the right way.

Thanks alot.

alright, well was working on her again.. well I guess it is leaking from the oil passage oilring, I stuck my fingure right under the oil passage and sure enough oil started to leak from there.

So I guess now the question.. is there anything I can do besides pulling the engine part? Maybe stuff the hell out of it with silcone?

Nothing.

I bet if you got some Acetone, and cleaned the heck out of it, then put some JBWELD or equivilent in the area........after a week the leak would reappear at a another area. Either just above or just below. Just my opinion.

You might try though. There's Nothing to lose.

the irons to rotor housings naturally will move(not just naturally but due to different expansion and contraction rates of the metals), JB weld won't hold up to those conditions and seal properly plus it will just cause a headache when rebuild time comes. my suggestion is just clean the hell out of the area with brake cleaner and slob on some RTV ultra black and let it cure for at least 24 hours, this should seal it up for a good 10k miles.

Well cleaned the hell out it with carb cleaner, put a **** load of high temp red rtv, and will let it cure till tomorrow, will also change oil using castol gtx 20-50w. Thats the only thing I could think of to bandaid this issue. And I really hope it works.. I just dumped over 8k into the car.. and sure has hell don't want to dump another 1.5k to re-rebuild my 15k rebuild.. So wish my luck guys.. and I hope the rotary gods are with me on this one.

edit: And I really hope your right about it lasting another 10k miles.. *prays to rotary gods*
