oil leak

Guys, I need to know anyone else has had a similar situation. Checked all the other suggestions from similar problems.

I have an 87 Rx n/a. I have an oil leak that is coming from the back side of the motor. I removed the small metal shield that allows you to see the flywheel from the top side of the engine. It appears to be coming from there, but I can't tell where. Has anyone else had a situation like this. I need to know what, if anything, commonly goes bad on the back side of the engine. Is it the oil pump seal, the "crank" seal. Any info or other things to check would be greatly appeciated.

FYI I did check the cooler lines and the sensors near by. all oil seems to be coming from the metal plate i removed.

not using synth. using conventional 20w-50. just changed it again last night. put a quart of lucas oil stabilizer in it to see if that could at least slow the leak.

pulled the trannie and the entire rear housing is covered in oil underneath the "bell housing". I've burned through a quart of oil in only 200 miles. My question is, would only the main seal allow that much oil to come out. The other areas of my concern was the flange to the rear stationary gear or the orings on the tension bolts.
