oil in intercooler elbow

oil in intercooler elbow

i was driving my tii today and the intercooler hosing popped off
and while i was putting it back on i noticed that there was some oil in the intercooler pipe. (turbo side of intercooler)

what do you think is wrong

turbo seals bad or it could be the stock oil crankcase ventilation system

is there a way to check if the turbo seals are bad?
the elbow blew off when i while i was underboost
and the car just died on me
and wouldnt start

A little oil is normal.

If you are not seeing any smoke, then don't worry about it.

also, you should not use those worm clamps. They really dont hold well under boost.
It may be time for a turbo rebuilt, but (like Aaron said) check for smoke out the tail pipe under boost.
