Oil Gauge Max'd out

My Oil Gauge is Max’d out before the Car starts And remains there. I was thinking it was the Oil Switch. Not to sure though.
Any thoughts?

If it does it when you put the car in the on position then gauge or sender, maybe wiring. If it's stuck there car on or off.. gauge would be my guess.

the gauge is probably reading the wrong resistance. I'd trace teh wiring, make sure that there are no breaks or anything.

Probably the condensor is disconnected or the wire to it is grounded.

Did you do any clutch or trannsmission work recently?

even if the sender is fubar'd if the condensor is hooked up, it prevents that problem

No, it is a small black box (1"x1"x.25") , with a single wire coming off of it, and a metal mounting tab on the other side.

It is mounted on or near the clutch slave. It is the condensor for the oil pressure sender.

Ah, ok, good to know.
Also, the thing with the sideways connector is the oil pressure sender itself, not the condensor.

It should be mounted to the slave cylinder or to something metal near the slave cyl.

without it, the oil pressure gauge will fail and not work correctly

Its common for someone that does know these cars to remove it when they do a clutch or tranny job and forget to hook it back up.

It taps into the oil pressure sensor wire (Yellow/red as I recall) in the front harness.

and not my arm... I simply did a search for pictures of the condensor... only about 30 threads on it, I just grabbed the first three pictures I found.

Icemark..that Condensor Thingie..It goes From the Clutch Slave to the Firewall..there is a tab there to Connect it.I Remember Hooking that In When I Did My Clutch...I Honestly think It's another Wire He has to Look for. That Would be the SENDING wire for the Oil Gauge. And the Sender could be Screwed TOO.Another thing is He SAID "he flooded it recently"..I Would be Checking the OIL..TO Make Sure That the Oil Doesn't SMELL like GAS,and if the Oil Level Isn't Somehow HIGH because he could have pumped some Gas past the Rotors and into the OIL.

No, it generally is mounted to the clutch slave, and the wire goes into the main front harness.

I think you are confusing the tranny ground which goes from the back of the block/tranny to the firewall, where there is a tab on the fire wall for it/

I wouldn't doubt that the sender is screwed. It gets screwed from the condensor not being hooked up.

Anytime a rotary engine is flooded the oil should be changed... is that not common practice???
