That sounds correct, but you may want to ask Mazdatrix to make sure. You can also get the o-rings from your Mazda dealership. There are 2 o-rings, and the tightening torque on the two bolts is 6-8 ft-lbs.

I replaced mine last summer, and its not that bad. Yes there are two of them and they sound like the right part. I paid about twice that much though.

I've gone to my local parts store several times to buy the o-rings for the oil filter pedestal, cost is like $.35/ea. They have worked fine for about 6 FCs and 4 FDs I've done.

Your original rings will look different because they are flattened, just buy some regular o-rings...

Do you know the sizes? I'd rather not put my car out of commission before I have the pieces ready..

How did it go Tesla?

Did you end up getting the o rings from mazdatrix or your local dealer? Or did you get some from an autoparts store? I'm curious because I also found a leak around the oil filter/pressure sender area and I'm not sure which it is so I figure I'd go with the cheaper fix first.

funny you ask today... I called up the dealership this morning, and discovered that the part number is the same as the one in my orig post from mazdatrix.. about 3$.. I'll pick it up tommorow, and prolly do the install over the weekend.. Hopefully i'll take pics.
