Oil cooler thermostat

Driving around in the recent sub-freezing temps, my oil temp gauge rarely even registers anything (minimum 120°F). I did some searching and, no surprise, that's not good. I assume the problem will be with the oil cooler thermostat, but I can't find a replacement part. There's an aftermarket one on MazdaTrix, but I can't find a factory one. Anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks
Andy

Where is your temp gauge sender located?
Mine is in the oilpan drain plug and reported oil temp mirrors water temp (albeit more slowly).
I have no thermostat in the oil cooler.

Sender is under the oil filter, standard pedestal adapter. In the summer it reads fine, even getting up hotter than I'd like at times, 200+°F. I need to get a good water temp gauge so I can get some actual numbers for the water temps, but I'm short on gauge locations.
