Oil cooler thermostat?

all right got down to florida and did my first oil change since i got here. The oil was very thin and now my oil pressure is about 100 psi at 1000 rpms(idle) when i start it up. Once it warms up to temp its at 20-22 psi, i was woundering if the thermostat in the oil cooler can be takin out or shimmed? By the way i have the racing beat oil pressure regulator 105-115 psi 10w-40 castrol gtx oil also 15,000 mi on rebuild and about 2000mi where HARD. if there is another trick let me know.

Do you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge? It could be the stock gauge acting up.
