oil cooler leak

oil cooler leak

the upper hose on my oil cooler leaks oil... is there crush washers that are inbetween it that it can leak from it its old? or do the lines go bad? thanks

There are copper crush washers at the banjo bolts, but they rarely leak unless lose. More then likely the hose is bad. Any hydraulic shop can make you a replacement if you bring them the fittings from your hoses.

I have had this problem more than once. Both times the line was leaking. I believe mazdatrix sells factory replacement lines. Or you could buy used here or do as Aaron suggested.

well if it turns out to be the lines, would braided ss lines be an upgrade? or oe rubber stuff is good enough?
