I drove this car maybe 3/7 days of the week so far, put about 100 miles on it so far, the oil is really black already. I know its been blowing dark smoke out at idle and shoots fireballs like nobodies business cause of the exhaust leak.

its an 87 TII, it also idles really high 1100; on top of that it gets like *** for gas mileage. I mean Single Digits here. I took a 40 mile trip and I was left with half a tank already. I know this car was no where near perfect, but anyway I can fix up somethings before the motor goes out?

 

Wow. That's a whole lot of "Not good at all."

Major vacuum leak could cause the high idle... but I'm guessing there are some seals worn well past their usable life.

My oil (S4 NA, 4k on rebuild) is still amber after 2000 miles. It's darker than when I put it in, but still very clean looking.
