oil burning after many rebuilds. bad shop?

Hey guys, I went to Turbo P?@a!askdfjf s to get my s5 t2 turbo rebuilt as a hybrid. I paid him to fully balance, rebuild, and upgrade my turbo.

At first I ran the turbo with a 1/8" restrictor , and I had some oil burning, it was noticable, but nothing compared to what happened later.

Rebuild #1) I threw a 1/16" oil restrictor on. On my first test drive after install, I was blowing crazy couds of smoke. So I send it back to TurboPerformance.

rebuild #2) He rebuilds it again, this time with a Garret oil control ring. It runsgreat, no burning for about 30 -40 miles. Then it smokes up big clouds again!!!!

rebuld #3) He tells me that maybe my bearing housing and/or exhaust whela nd shaft might be bad. So I give him some known good used turbos I had in my garage. On my frist drive around the block, crazy smoke!

I dont know what to do. The guy there has been really nice, so I would feel bad to bitch him out and ask him for a refund, which he might not give me. Ive been missing days of work, borrowing cars, stressing out. What should I do?

thought 1) What if my oil drain was not draining enough because I used silicone as gasket for my oil drain? But after removing everything there was not a significant amount of silicone blocking the flow

thought 2)Maybe its my 1/16" oil restrictor plate? After all it did start to happen after I installed that. But why would a oil restrictor caause more oil burning!?

Help me please!! I'm going crazy and tired of taking my turbo on and off all the time. I know it better than the palm of my hand now. Yes, my palm

is the return line at a good angle and going directly back to the pan?

Sounds like the rebuild process may be borked.

the oil return line is a stock s4 oil return line to match my s4 front cover. Its weird how my oil burning problem got a shitload worse after I changed to a 1/16" restrictor plate.

Would it matter if steel line had a kink in it already" That might restrict oil more, on top of my 1/16" restrictor. But how would that make my turbo smoke more, like crazy?

As a simple test, run without your oil cap installed. Smoke?

Sounds like you are pushing oil into the intake tract because of a bad (turbo) seal or messed up purge system.

Is there oil in the intercooler or exhaust?

Thanks guys!. It was my pcv fixed and it doesnt burn oil. My turbo was origionally burning a lil oil after rebuild though, so I did need to send it back anyways. But the 2nd time I sent it back, might have been unecesary
