i see everyone posting stock numbers around 120 or so, we're they rated 145 (s4) and 160 (s5) are these numbers true or are our cars getting slower in their stock forms?

Those are nice gains tho. 150 to the wheels in a 2500 pound car aint bad at all.
He does for the stock manifold. 126HP at the wheels.

Slight loss of compression and horsepower lost threw the drivetain.

Try 146 divided by 15% for usual drivetrain losses.

Nah, the engines are just rated at the flywheel.

yea its like 160 to the flywheel so i guess 126 is decent for stock?
also will a lighter flywheel/ better clutch/ better rear end/ even maybe a lighter drive shaft lessen that percentage? (increase power to the wheels)?

I think that was the entire stock exhaust system including cats, i could be wrong.

I've heard a lot of people say there isnt a big difference between headers and stock manifold when applied to a otherwise stock car, i'd like to see if thats true or not. Obvioulsy most of the gains he is seeing is from ditching the stock cats.

A header on a stock NA gains more mid band torque than peak HP.
