official results of my exhaust
official results of my exhaust
some of you have seen the pictures of my new RB set up but today i put it to the test on the dyno. on the stock system i pulled 126 @ 6800. now yesterday i dynoed it with my acv off and proper block off plates and obviously my 5th and 6th ports no longer were working so i pulled 96HP at 6800 but 102 like at 4500. i put the acv back on and re-dynoed it today and pull 150 @ 6800 with around 135 ft lbs of torque. so about 25 hp increase through the whole system (headers, bonez high flo cat, RB cat back) and it sounds very very nice.

yeah it works out nice the guy that owns the place fully built an 88 t2 that put out almost 450 to the wheels. i did about 7 pulls for just about 150 and its about 5 mins from my house. hes really interested in the results too.

<---going for the fully operational aux port thing. Very nice to see before and after results. I believe that my butt dyno registers about 120 or so hp all stock, so I am quite motivated to see how the butt registers the after effects. I love posts relating to everything N/A. I think we need a 2nd Generation N/A Specific area.

Those are nice gains tho. 150 to the wheels in a 2500 pound car aint bad at all.

Great post!
You've got me looking forward to getting my car back from the shop (RP Performance) next week. I'll have the exact same exhaust set up but I'm getting the motor ported, new housings, and an aluminum flywheel put on as well. If I can find a dyno around here I'll post numbers as well.

For cheapskates like me a G-tech Pro gives consistant comparason numbers.
It's not a dyno, but it works.
When I do finally get on a dyno, I'll be able to get a conversion factor for the G-tech.
