Wink oem rim weight...

when i was putting vert rims on my 7 i can tell that they seem lighter than the stock s4 gxl rims, it was gliding faster with the vert rims so im wondering if weight might a difference.

so how much does the vert, s4 gxl, s4 t2, and s5 t2 rims weight?

The vert wheel weigh about 11lbs. Those are the lightest stock rims.

Derekcat - The GXL rim weight is not posted in there.

this is all the info from the FAQ, so there are quite a few wheels that have not been weighed. I'd be interested in the weight of the 87 TII wheels particularly.

EDIT: Blasted ninja. I'll just note that the vert rims are even lighter than the smaller phone dials. They're real nice. Rotational mass adds up to twice as much to the car's inertia as non-rotational mass. Less than twice for the material near the center of the rim though. So it's similar to shaving 40-50 lbs right there. Reducing unsprung weight is also really nice for handling.

More weights here, or maybe they're the same weights: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showpo...24&postcount=9

Gotta know the source first... The weights conflict with what's already accepted.
