I have an 87 n/a. I notice that I am not getting great mileage on it and decided to calculate how many miles I get per gallon. So I reset my odometer and then the next time I'm almost empty, I'll take the travelled distance and divide by the 11 gallons. Sure enough, after filling up, I reset my odometer. I pull out of the station and hit up the highway, and glance at my odometer. It went from 0 to about 83 in about 2 miles! Is there something wrong? And my gasoline problem is still there.... I am getting no mileage, and I don't even rev or go excessively fast. Should I check my 02 sensor? I tried to look up a thread on this, but couldn't. Thanks!

 

how can you tell how many miles per gallon you are getting if your odo is not reading right??? (sounds like someone disassembled it and re-assembled it incorrectly, BTW)
