Odd metal-on-metal sound
My engine might be on it's last leg...
A few days ago I noticed an odd metal on metal noise when shutting off the engine. It only lasts the short time it takes the engine to wind down to a full stop.
The sound is not present (or at the very least not audible) when the engine is on. It's a very quiet exhaust, stock internals and exhaust with RB cat-back.
I suppose the only three possible culprits are: engine, clutch mechanism or the transmission.
I will do a compression check ASAP but the engine is behaving just fine. I say this knowing if it turns out to be the engine, it will get worse quickly.
Thoughts?
