"Obsolete" front spoiler; any copies or resellers?

AGAIN I had someone steal the Kaminari 86-88 front spoiler I had on my car, and this time when I tried to order yet ANOTHER replacement, I've found out from Kaminari Aero that they no longer offer the "obsolete" part. Could someone PLEASE help me find another reseller that by strange chance has this in stock, or any information on where one in good/excellent condition can be obtained? A copy would be acceptable of course, but I've never heard of any. It's the only front spoiler I have ever seen that looks good on an FC3S, without overdoing it and spoiling its stock look. Any help from anyone would be most appreciated!

DAMN YOU THIEVES!

I'd check out corksport.com (http://www.corksport.com), they had someone make a copy of the rear bumper and they now offer it. MAYbe they have the front also or can do it. Damn, it's messed up that when i finally get a good pic of the car the damn thing is no longer manufactured . It looks quite wicked though!

Good luck

the corksport mazdaspeed replica is a very nice inexpensive piece. that kamanari nose says "1980's" a little too profoundly...

I should note that the 86 RX-7 I own in the picture above says "1980's" profoundly as well

Hehe, at Corksport, I know the guy who wanted me to send him my rear bumper so they could make a mold, and I told him it was too far away. I guess that didn't stop him from getting a hold of one, and then Corksport using the rear end of my car for the picture!

overall the car is really nice though and extremely clean. the louvered front clip bugs me a bit but it's livable. the only other suggestion would be some spacers in the rear or some wider tires bc they sit a little too "in" for my taste. the rear valence rocks and the starion style wing works...nice ride!!

Thanks for that input. I have often wanted to throw some spacers in there or some bigger tires, but I heard that even 1/4" spacers can be unsafe! BTW, what's "starion"?

Anyway, I'm going to bump this for about a week in hopes someone can help me find another one of these front spoilers.

1/4 inch spacers in the rear is perfectly safe as the rear lugs are significantly longer than the fronts.

Alarms just let you know which direction your car went when they took it. I'm not really fond of alarm systems, besides every car has one so theifs look for them anyway.

You guys don't know? Let me clarify. a few years back Kaminari was the unfortunate victim of an in-house fire. The fire destroyed alot of molds, including the FC one. Molds are not cheap. And the demand for a 1980's rotary car was extremely low, so they decided to axe the FC kit. It's a shame, as I think it was the only decent looking bodykit made in the US. It's rare to find this kit, but there is somewhat of hope left.
If you go to the erebuni website, www.erebunicorp.com , you'll find that they still carry the original kaminari side skirts for the FC, and get this, they're on SALE! yup, the skirts are sellin for $200 a pair brand-*** new. Erebuni stocked quite a few things that kaminari stop selling due to the fire, so act quick, cuz you know there's no more of these around.

Here's the link:

Twice now I have left the car parked somewhere, and when I have come back, the spoilers were ripped right off. They damage my car each time, and with the case of when my rear spoiler was stolen, they left lots of broken fibreglass everywhere. Once it happened while I was in the physics computer lab at my University, and I was there for not 1/2 an hour and when I came back some people had just ripped the front spoiler straight off. That's exactly what happened again this time. I don't know what I can do about it!

So far we've found sources for both new side skirts and rear bumper skirt [Kaminari], but unfortunately not the front spoiler which is my only concern at the moment. Still hoping.

Dude man, i live in Beaumont, just outside of edmonton, but i am always in edmonton, and where the hell do you park your car?! Do you have an alarm? you should put a new spoiler on and then walk away from the car and just watch...... Make sure you have a tire iron with your or something. haha...... have you considered joining the Edmonton RX7 Club? go to www.edmontonrx7.com . And where did you get the headlight intake? Corksport?

Peace

man it sounds to me that someone is doing this to get at YOU....seems like too much of a coincidence for you to go somewhere, park for 1/2 hour, and come out to find that someone got your spoiler.....whatever you put on the car now, I would think about trying to set it up.....park it somewhere and hide in the bushes!! Someone tried to jack my 86 GXL once, and I replaced the ignition. It took the ******* only three days to come back and try it again, and he found me waiting.....with my favorite handgun....needless to say, I haven't had any trouble since!

It's made by KSP I believe. I got it from a dude who bought it in New York I believe. Funny you should mention the RX-7 club... I've been a member for 3 years and sometimes make it out to the meetings.

As for parking my car, the first theft was right outside the UofA physics building at 2:30 in the afternoon. The second time at South Ed. Common movie theatre, and just lately, my second Kaminari front spoiler was stolen right in front of my house sometime at night! I have the factory alarm with the car, but it's so easy to get those pieces off that even if I had one with vibration sensor, etc... wouldn't stop someone from stealing my kit pieces.

No thanks. My desktop runs at 1600X1200, just like the pics I took of my car with the digital camera.
