o2 sensor and trans ground question

recently replaced the trans in my 88 GXL. when removing the trans ground (top of the bellhousing), i realized that it was plugged into the o2 sensor. I looked around the area of both of them and didnt see any wires that wernt used. Where are these supost to go?

Our O2 sensors have only one wire and it goes to the ECU, not a ground. Not sure what you're looking at.

the only wires that I can think of that go on the bell housing..sort of..would be the Oil gauge condenser attaching to the slave cylinder bolt..and a Ground wire that attaches to a spade on the firewall.

Is that the little box that looks like a mofset but only 1 wire? I found that near the slave cylinder, not attached to anything, but plugged into something that goes into the main wire harness.
