O2 Sensor Thread

Can anyone confirm that our oxygen sensor thread is 18mm x 1.5? Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Aren't all they pretty much universal? I know the Bosh Universal for $20.00 from Autozone works fine.

call a mazda service center and ask them....I never tried to find out, cuz all most people would need to know is that the new one will fit where the old one did.....I got mine from Autozone....and not the generic universal one either--same exact as ours and only like $35....

Got a Niehoff this past summer. It fit just fine.

And don't expect a Mazda service center to be able to answer that question, and if they give an answer, a doubting attitude would be a healthy attitude.

Look through your Yellow Pages under "Fasteners - Industrial." These are the guys who make and distribute nuts and bolts. Find one near you and take your O2 sensor there. If you have to take your 7, take a wrench with you so you can pull the O2 sensor and show it to them. Use a rag to handle it - it'll be hella hot!

They'll be able to tell you the thread size, pitch, etc right there.
