Okay FC owners, the answer is (a), (b), or (c).
Question:
Your rear suspension at STOCK ride height is more like:
(a)
(b)
(c)
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm trying to build a minitruck w/ rx-7 rear suspension and need help locating where the rear assembly needs to live.
Thanks!

ooo, details? what truck? year? engine? mods?
why are you going with rx7 suspension?
and sorry, i have lowering springs. i can't say what change it made as far as how the car sits. and usually the term "minitruck" would refer to a truck on bags i thought. i usually say "compact" when plainly referring to small; but thats me.

The truck is a 1983 Nissan 720 King Cab. The engine is 1995 Toyota Tacoma. My rear suspension is now rx-7 (sweet!) which I picked because it's rave reviews for vehicle handling and hub to hub width (pretty much same as my truck, supra 1st gen was 2" wider, supra 2nd gen was 4" wider, and 300z was 5" wider) I didn't want to have to modify axles and K frame to drop in IRS LSD.
I bodydropped 2.5" so it will lay frame and I've found I can actually get some decent hp out of my 2.4 liter 2RZ Tacoma engine, just look at this guy:
8 second Tacoma powered oldschool Corolla
BUT, I still can't rev as high as you guys. It's okay, it's a minitruck.
Minitruck btw generally means any truck that has been bagged or lowered, NOT hydros and wire rims (that's for the Lowriders). Minitruck is a combination of performance and looks, it's generally pretty smooth (ie. shaved everything) with nice lines and big clean rims, sometimes they sport crazy paint/graphics, but NEVER the virgin mary or any murals (see Lowrider). I'm working on a frankenstein, parts of everything (including a lawnmower) are going into my truck to make it as sporty/powerful/good-looking as possible. (Yeah, I know, how can a lawnmower make a truck look good?)
Anyways, it's stripped to the frame right now and I'm trying to place my rear suspension and build brackets to support it. Casio, even if your car is lowered you could tell me how much it is lowered and what your rear suspension looks like now (a), (b), or (c) and that info would help. Thanks!

yea, like i said; on bags. i pretty much left it at that. i dont know enough to say more than that.
i know a guy that, last i talked to him, installed bags on trucks. does custom work as well. his roommates chevy is bagged with some custom bars in the rear above the axle.
i'd have to go outside and check my car. its so cold, though.
i'll get back to you on that.
btw; my ideal minitruck would be an older (90s-ish) nissan with an sr20det or a mazda (b2200 or thereabouts) with a turbo rotary; maybe bridged or peri-ported rotary. so many options! carb? FI? who knows.
i also like tacomas, but even in my dreams i'm poor, just with a few extra thousand. i dream somewhat realistically.
