o-rings on top of injector??

can you buy these at mazda? i think i need new ones primary fuel inj. is leaking bad after inj. install. do this o-rings just sit in the rail and seal or do they need warm up and then they settle in and seal or what never had this happen so far? ntw.. there is nothing in the way of it sealing or anything , has to be a bad o-ring. the injectors that are leaking were my new 550cc secondaries that i moved to primary without putting new orings or grommets on since they were still very new, but they leaked and my new 720 cc are sealed just fine ??? any other occurances like this ?

You should be able to get them at any place that services injectors. They are not Mazda specific.

but would they have them or do you think of anything else that could cause this fuel leak like banjo bolt mod or walboro 255 pushing to much????

Check your hose clamps on the fuel lines connected to the rails, or anywhere else you may have disconnected them.

If you suspect the injector orings, by all means replace them, they shouldn't cost much if you can find them (mine were replaced when I had my injectors cleaned by witchhunter.com).

But I've had a fuel leak in the past that I was lucky to catch early, and it was just a hose clamp that started to come loose.

Well, it shouldn't be the banjo-bolt mod or the Walbro. Especially if it's coming from the primary fuel rail. Inspect the O-rings on your primaries. Check to see if you have the bolts, that secure the rail, tightened.

Its probably the O-Rings if its leaking from the top of the injector. Its VERY easy to mess them up, especially if you force them into the rail without lubing them up first.

They are very easy to rip when installing them... You should always lube them when putting them back into the rail and use new ones when removing or servicing the injectors... They can be expensive (about $5 each) when you consider that it is a little rubber ring... I went to harbor freight and bought a kit of like 300 nitrile o-rings for about $10.00... Use the 010 ring... 011 will pinch and cause an even worse leak... If you do not have a harbor freight in your area, go to www.harborfreight.com ... You can order there or even search for the closest location... Good luck...

If your worried about a fuel leak your could always jumper at the fuel pump connector located on the passenger side of the engine near the airpump while your intake manifold is off. Just have ignition on when you do this. It will engage the fuel pump and pressurize the system and you be able to notice any leaks by the steady stream of fuel coming out. Alot better than checking for leaks while the car is on.

you can also get them at any parts store like autozone, etc. i replaced mine and you have to lube them before you put them in or they will tear. you should check out harbor freight like he said if you can ge that many for $10, thats an awesome deal. also check the fuel rail and make sure its ok and not leaking. with all that has been offered i am sure its one one these problems and a cheap and easy fix. good luck.

It has happened to me before when installing new injectors. If you are not careful when sliding/twisting them into the fuel rail, you can harm/tear the o-ring. It was just a slight tear on the o-ring, but enough to leak in a pressurized system. I just took a good o-ring off of the old injectors and that worked fine.

Is this what happened? You must be careful when you bolt the fuel rail down to the block not to force anything.
