O-Rings?
Ok, i have a beautiful metallic gxl and about a couple months ago it overheated really bad during a scorching summer day with the ac cranking at full blast.
I filled the radiator with water and it would all go into the reservoir and it seemed to disappear. Well there was a leak in the radiator so i bought bars stop leak. i also threw the thermostat out since it would overheat very quickly. Now the radiator doesnt leak and the car doesnt overheat. I understand that the waterjacket seal must have gone out but with the bars leak it seems to have sealed it again since it doesnt consume coolant any more. or is it maybe because it doesnt warm up fully?
ne ways ill find out when i get a new thermostat.
And to get to the question, where can i get the o rings and would i be able to do it myself? Also, would i need to replace all the gaskets if im gonna open my engine up? Can you guys please guide me on what i have to do?

it seemed to work though, why is it a bad idea? Also, what do you mean with all the soft seals? Do they sell those in packages? What would be ideal to replace? i would want to do it the right way the first time around.
Thanks for your help!!
