I'm currently working on pulling a rear from a yard car. Happened to have a 1.25" socket which fits (32mm / 25.4 = 1.2598"). I'm having a hell of a time getting the damn nut off, tho. Anybody have any tips on getting this thing off? Picture me standing / bouncing on a socket wrench with no luck. FSM shows a long-*** pry-bar / wrench.

1) Make sure you un-stake the nut.
2) you're going to need at least a breaker bar. The torque spec is somewhere around 300 ft-lbs. My fat *** standing at the end of a 18" breaker bar is 300ft-lbs.

ya..32mm and a breaker bar/the Nut should undo the "Indent"(that litttle divet used to keep the nut on for safety) If you use the breaker bar.OH!..and have a buddy put his foot on the brakes,That helps to keep the Rear axles from spinning while you are Jumping on the breaker bar!

Go buy Freeze off. Couldn't get that bitch off, used the weight of the car and ended up breaking the 3/4" wrench I was using the stop it from spinning between the studs. Got some freeze off, caked the bitch, came off with no problem.
